I started this site because I was looking for furniture last year and realized how difficult it is. You have to go from store to store and you don't even know half of what is out there. So I got a designer who was awesome. I like to think that I have a good aesthetic and know things that I like -- but I dont know what kinds of things go t...ogether and how to assemble a room. A designer has so many more ideas on what they could do to make a room just work! And then I found there are so many people other than professional designers who also have great taste and know how to put things together. And so Wellfurnished was born. How can you make a community around interior design and help people find the furniture and designs they like, solve their design problems and create more beautiful homes.
My style tends to be modern leaning towards eclectic. I think every person should have a unique personal sense of design that marries together things from their life experiences, intrinsic tastes and background. In my case, it's a mix of modern with splashes of Indian items (my heritage) and items from various places I enjoy traveling to (like South East Asia etc).More
